MVP
Tony Spear - Bradda's
Playing 1st base for the Bradda's, not only did Tony hit 17-19 & .895 batting average,
he consistantly made stellar plays at 1st base, scooping errant throws from his infielders
time after time to record those all-important outs and carrying his team through the finals.
Congratulations Tony!!

Batting Champ
Tony Spear - Bradda's
Not being a power hitter, Tony sprays his hits all over the field. Even when the "Mo" tournament
teams knew what he's trying to do and try to close the holes, he still snuck them in there
anyway, going 17 for 19 - .895 avg.

RBI's
Mike Fanara - Bradda's
A former Maui resident and Haliimaile player, Mike & family returned to Maui, from
Yale University in New Haven Conn., to spend Christmas with the rest of the Fanara's
and got to play in the tournament by virtue of the rainout and it being re-scheduled.
While playing left field for the Bradda's, Mike was 17-23 with 19 rbi's

Homeruns
Kevin Fanara - Bradda's
At shortstop, Kevin has always been one of the premiere players on Maui winning just
about every award on the island. His awesome play in this tounament was no exception.
His stats were 20-24, 16 rbi's with 5 homeruns, including a grandslam.
Chaulk up another one Kev. [Kevin is the younger brother of Mike Fanara, above.]

Defense
Mark "Klash" Klaska - Pounders
"Klash" has been the Pounders 3rd baseman, for I don't know how long, suckin up
the hot shots, on the hot corner, firing over to 1st to burn many batters who thought
they had a hit. After winning the regular season batting title & co-League MVP awards,
the defensive player of the tournament -Gold Glove- will be a nice addition to
his trophy case. Congratulations Klash!!
