Summer 2011

  • Sat, Oct 8th
Congratulations to the Baldwin Beach Bums for their first legit win in a long time, Boy was that needed! The Bums actually showed some defensive prowess, which had been missing for some time. Watch out for these guys and one gal, they might just kick your teams ass soon. - shawn

  • Sat, Oct 1st
Crazy day at the ball park, Wheels found themselves trailing late again to Like Dat, Pitcher Joe (like dat) found the wind to be tougher than a two dollar steak, Walking seven straight batters, the Wheels took a 13-8 lead. No quit with Like Dat softball, The boys promply tied the score at 13 in the top of the seventh. With one out in the seventh, Big Game Danno Niess singles to left, after somehow getting to third with one out, Casey came to the plate, drove a fly ball to left center, after many seconds Danno tags up and scores the game winning run. MVP Danno. Great game by both teams. - shawn

  • Sat, Sept 24th
It was a beutiful day at Haliimaile ball park, the Longshots, took an early lead over the Wheels, till the bottom of the fifth when they leveled up at 10 runs each. A triple play in the top of the sixth seemed to deflate the Longshots and they lost by one run. Kahoku (17-0) destroyed the Baldwin Beach Bums, who only managed one hit all game! - cdg

  • Sat, Aug 13th
It was a blustery day at Haliimaile ball park, The Kings, after a blow-out 23 run win over the Wheels 10 runs, went on to hand No Hea Black Ass their second loss of the day in the fifth game, what a line up of hitters! - cdg

  • Sat, July 16th - Kahoku vs Like Dat - 18/17
Kahoku again feature in the Game of the Week. After three in the first followed by seven in the second it looked like a runaway, til Like Dat rallied in the later innings and forced the game into overtime. Tension rose til Kahoku continued their season theme and beat Like Dat by one run! - cdg

  • Sat, July 9th - Kahoku vs Kings - 17/16
Game of the week was a come back of a lifetime, with king of the road with an eleven run lead just cruising, letting balls fall that should have been caught. King of the Road got caught with their pants hanging down by their ankles. Kahokus took advantage of the friendly KOR players. The boys from Kahokus answered with an eleven run bottom sixth to tie. KOR did put up a single run in the top of the seventh, but with two outs and no one on, Kahokus rallied for two runs to walk off with the win. Kahoku beating Kings 17 - 16 - shawn

Spring 2010
  • Sat, May 22nd - Wild Wheels v King of the Road
With the marquee matchup of the day with second place hanging in the balance. The mighty Wheels squared off against King of the road. The Wheels had beaten KOR earlier in the season by 7 runs. KOR needed to win by 8 runs to secure second place.  With a freshly stacked team, pound for pound I have never seen a bigger team, even in the pros. KOR looked poised to do some damage. With timely hitting and outstanding pitching from the badger (Uncle Benito), KOR started out hot. As the game dragged on the Wheels did just enough to keep KOR to a 16 to 11 final score, Securing the Wheels a second place seed in the tournament. congratulations to both teams on an outstanding season. Good luck in the tourney.      shawn

  • Sat, May 15th 24th - Wild Wheels v OFF
Wheels got off to an early big lead, but OFF chipped away little by little. With horrible hitting from Rob, The Wheels found away to keep the lead. After Rob was through talking to himself about his horrible hitting, He promply walked to the plate in his next two at bats hit back to back triples, also getting the win on the mound. Moral to the story kids never give up, never never give up. Nice job Rob.      shawn

  • Sat, May 8th 24th - Like Dat v OFF
These teams collided in a battle of will. With 7 lead changes threw the game, Like Dat escaped with a 1 run win. That was one hell of a game. Good job both teams that was a pleasure to watch.    shawn

  • Sat, April 24th - No Hea
Congratulatios No Hea Black Ass, for mathematically eliminating both the Wheels and King of the road. These guys could have had the game of the week every week. With the first place seed in the tournament, they look poised to do well in the tourney. Good job Coach Ivan and everybody in the NHBA softball ohana. shawn

  • Sat, April 17th - Only For Fun
Team OFF goes off again. These guys are for real , Three straight wins. Glad the wheels don’t have to play them any time soon shootz brah. Watch out for the Smilin Hawaiians. I want to thank team OFF for their continued support of our league. We couldn’t be happier to have you guys and gals.   mahalo shawn

  • Sat, April 10th - Like Dat 21 Vs Wild Wheels 16
Like Dat showed they got the right stuff against the mighty wheels. After leading big in the 3rd inning and blowing it to trail by 3. The guys scored another 7 spot to take the game. And proved they got what it takes. Conratulations Paka and Like Dat. Good luck. shawn

Tyrone's home run gives him Hot Dog of the Week and a chance at the Home Run award, against Commish Shawn
    more to come ...

  • Sat, March 13th - Longshots 17 Vs Like Dat 4
Everyone hit well but one hit will be remembered; Charlie's big time game ending Grand Slam. Biggest play of the game had to be Dale's full extension Right Field Snow Cone!
The win is dedicated to Daniel Morris who played his last game until he finishes a trek to New Zealand & Australia. We lose a Lead off, Shortstop & good friend.
Hope to see you back soon. c.Mc.

  • Sat, March 6th - Wild Wheels 37 Vs Baldwin Beach B's 23
An hour and fifty-two minute battle between the Wheels and a much improved BBB's.
Wheels led out with twelve run 1st inning and the BBB's answered with eleven.
Bottom of the fifth and the BBB's are out in front with Diesel Dave (BBB"s Coach) frantically shouting TIME!, only to be shot down with a `NOT HERE' chorus from the Wheels, and so the Wheels rallied in the later innings and sealed the deal.
Suggest Diesel Dave consult the Bylaws and we won't talk about the officiating !!! cdg
